Position Summary:
The Sr. Project Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Irvine Company Apartment Communities' reinvestment and repair construction initiatives. This position acts as a central liaison between Construction Management, General Contractors, Property Management, Residents, and external vendors, ensuring seamless, safe, and timely project execution with minimal community disruption.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate between the Construction Management and Construction Administration teams to ensure accurate project documentation and processing.
- Track and report project costs within financial systems (SAP/PPM) to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Process construction contracts and change order requests via the Construction Administration platform (CRA).
- Oversee daily jobsite activities, including site safety, cleanliness, and resident access, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Monitor work progress and provide regular activity logs for occupied units.
- Act as the primary point of contact and maintain clear, proactive communication among all project stakeholders.
- Coordinate and issue resident notifications.
- Support the Construction Team with constructability reviews, forward planning, and schedule preparation.
- Oversee daily on-site coordination, communication, and enforcement of quality and cleanliness standards.
- Support pre-construction planning, construction administration, and process adherence.
- Maintain high-quality project documentation.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent; High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of relevant construction coordination or administration experience, ideally in occupied multi-family residential settings.
Other:
- OSHA 10-Hour, SWPPP, and CPR certifications preferred.
- Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; working knowledge of Smartsheet or Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Ability to stand, walk, and navigate stairs/ladders/scaffolding for extended periods during site visits.
- Frequent jobsite travel is required.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $44.09 - $55.29
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
