Position Summary:

 

Irvine Company Apartment Communities is hiring a tenured Leasing Manager at the Gateway community (1,279 units) in Orange. This individual will develop a tenured five person leasing team and make an impact through creative and competitive marketing efforts, building industry relationships, and collaboration with other community leaders.

 

The Leasing Manager is responsible for leading the leasing function to achieve and/or exceed occupancy and availability goals, including coaching the leasing process.

Job Duties:

  • Creates a customer service focused culture for residents, prospects, vendors and employees; responds and resolves resident requests and concerns; leads by example and ensure a proactive approach is adopted for all key customer touch points.
  • Leads, coaches and develops direct reports to create a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Promotes a positive working environment that encourages collaboration and teamwork; networks with CRC, market comps and sister communities.
  • Demonstrates excellent selling and rapport-building skills by leading through example with all prospect and resident communications.
  • Uses the leasing consultant approach to evaluate customer needs while communicating relevant benefits.
  • Maintains accurate and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the property and market.
  • Strategically develops and executes plan to exceed key performance indicators.
  • Ensures the overall community standard are, in-line with Irvine Company expectations.
  • Works with the team to ensure overall property maintenance is kept up through regular property walks and quality inspections.
  • Effectively uses an approach to customer service and selling that is based on the needs and wants of the customer, rather than the needs of the individual or business.
  • Provides world class customer service by being solution oriented, following through with commitments and utilizing creative problem solving.
  • Assists with addressing and resolving prospect and resident escalations.
  • Regularly updates competitive data to assist with pricing decisions.  Communicates findings to Community Manager/General Manager, Senior Director, and Revenue Manager.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Two years experience in sales environment
  • Occasional travel required
  • Schedule may require work on weekends, holidays and evenings
