Position Summary:

Purchasing supervisor oversees and executes the daily activities of the on-property purchasing team. The Supervisor has detailed knowledge of the purchasing department from vendor review and negotiations, purchasing trends, cost efficiency, inventory management and contributes to the process and procedures of the team.

Job Duties:

  • Actively contributes to the compilation and development of department SOPs
  • Maintains the food and beverage receiving and requisition reports, ensures accuracy and completeness of the reporting, ensures 3-way match on all orders
  • Manages the department receiver and works closely on validating orders upon arrival, as well as reviews and assists when needed in preparation for requisition deliveries to the outlets
  • Reviews produce quality and ensures the purchasing clerks and receivers are trained upon proper quality checks
  • Oversees and assists in month end physical inventory counts for food and beverage
  • Manages the inventory storerooms and pars
  • Execute internal controls around inventory management, including spot checks on perpetual inventory on a recurring basis
  • Collaborates with various departments and outlets for proper ordering and maintenance of pars
  • Establishes and maintains professional relationships with vendors and partners with food, beverage and operation orders to ensure proper quality product, timely deliveries and competitive pricing
  • Explores various new vendors and suppliers for new product and alternatives for operations
  • Committed to ensure adherence to Avendra tiers and pricing to ensure we drive the Resort bottom line

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • 2-3 years of experience in Purchasing or Procurement
  • Proficiency in English language required
  • Knowledge of food and beverage products, such as meats, poultry, seafood, wine, beer, produce and fruits
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills and experience reading purchase orders and invoices
  • Ability to work with management staff and other employees in a professional manner


Base Pay Start Rate: $25.00
