Position Summary:

The Spa Manager is responsible for day-to-day operation of the Spa and Fitness programming. In addition, help drive revenue and ensure Forbes standards are fulfilled; Participate in ongoing evaluation and improvement of spa operations.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the associates and oversight of all Spa, Retail Boutique, and Fitness Facilities 
  • Lead daily pre-shifts and departmental meetings
  • Hire and onboard new associates and training program for all Spa staff, focusing strongly on Forbes Standards.
  • Perform call scoring audits for Spa Reservation Agents and hold appropriate coaching sessions
  • Supervise, discipline and give performance evaluations for Spa associates as needed
  • Support the execution and development of spa SOPs.
  • Prepare and discuss annual reviews and goals for all associates.
  • Prepare and discuss 90-day reviews for all associates.
  • Develop and execute a Marketing strategic plan for spa
  • Complete payroll records and its entirety
  • Collaborate with the Engineering/Cleaning Company to ensure the Spa and Fitness facilities are well-maintained and in proper working condition. 
  • Perform walk-through with Night Cleaning Agency to ensure standards and scope of service are exceeded.
  • Planning and evolution to elevate the guest experience and business strategies to drive a more substantial financial performance
  • Inventory management for all spa operating supplies
  • Manage the monthly and annual expenses. Will support the development of the Spa’s Financial forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Manage the relationship and the execution of our 3rd Party fitness vendor to ensure all aspects of our fitness programming is to Resort standards  
  • The ability to respond appropriately in any hotel emergency or safety situation and spearhead safety initiatives. Manage compliance and safety training for all staff 
  • The ability to effectively integrate the Spa with the Hotel operations wherever possible and according to the direction of Spa trends.
  • Develop professional relationships with our guests to ensure the highest level of satisfaction and be able to resolve all guest concerns by exceeding their expectations
  • Hands-on approach to supporting the Operation by being able to do all of the support staff’s job functions
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by resort management and staff.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times and ensure the Spa associates maintain the same appearance and demeanor
     

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Minimum three (3) years Spa management experience, preferably in a hotel/resort environment. 
  • Experience in selecting, hiring, training and supervising department staff.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff in a professional manner. 
  • Excellent organizational, time management and strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Strong analytical, data management and computer skills.
  • Google Apps experience is a plus.
     

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $72,600 - $81,400

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
