Position Summary:

The Retail Manager is responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Retail Department and the day to day functions that align with the department’s long term goals and objectives, provide excellent customer service, and actively contribute to the department requirements and standards.

Job Duties:

● Assist in leading and managing the daily operations for the retail outlets
● Maintain a professional leadership style by coaching and counseling Retail Associates
● Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluating of all Retail Associates
● Provide excellent guest service through hands-on problem solving approaches
● Drive the retail environments and ensure consistency in all product presentation, backstock organization and merchandising
● Organize and update department handbooks, training guides, etc.
● Proactively looks beyond problems to develop solutions that maximize effectiveness of the department
● Participate in preparing for and conducting physical inventories
● Assist with the management of inventory including inventory controls and securing merchandise
● Assist with the invoicing of all Retail merchandise purchases: Filing and organization, processing through Yellowdog against the receipt of goods, and ensuring payments are processed through Coupa
● Assist with vendor inquiries and following up with vendors for invoices not received and discrepancies.
● Assist in creating purchase orders in Coupa for Retail operational expenses & create framework purchase orders for Retail merchandise orders
● Assist with the operation of www.shop.pelicanhill.com by processing online orders and responding to guest inquiries
● Assist with re-orders for count and fill items in all Retail outlets
● Assist with presentations for group merchandise sales, as well as coordinating the packaging and delivery of items
● Assist in the Retail outlets covering the sales floor(s) and receiving product as necessary
● Respond to phone, mail or email inquiries from guests
● Complete clerical tasks & other projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

● Bachelor’s Degree in Retail Administration, Business Administration or a related field preferred. High School diploma required.

● Minimum 3-5 years retail management experience, preferably in a hotel/golf resort environment.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills.

● Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff in a professional manner. Excellent organizational, human resource, time management, analytical and computer skills.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $66,600.00 - $72,300.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
