Purchasing Clerk ($20.00)

Position Summary:

Part Time, Summer Seasonal 

Job Duties:

• The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
• The Purchasing Clerk will assist the receiver in completing receiving documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist the receiver with follow-up on delivery shortages, overages, and process proper documents.
• Assist Food & Beverage in maintaining food quality per written specs and quantities per order guides and purchase orders.
• Must maintain safe and sanitary conditions throughout designated storages areas and loading dock.
• Responsible for rotation, dating, and accurate inventories of stock items.
• Perform other assigned duties by the Director of Purchasing or Purchasing Manager as needed.
• The ability to set up equipment according to need of the department.
• The ability to clean storeroom.
• The ability to provide any additional purchasing equipment.
• The ability to retrieve meeting materials, crates, boxes, etc. from the receiving dock and store them safely and properly ensuring to log them where appropriate.
• The ability to ensure storeroom are clean and available for showing to guests.
• The ability to maintain a cooperative, professional working style with supervisors and fellow workers.
• The ability to perform all job related tasks with utmost concern for equipment and safety for oneself and fellow workers.
• The ability to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of all storage rooms.
• The ability to attend and participate in all required meetings.
• The ability to assist guests whenever they request assistance.
• The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
• Maintain 5 diamond service standards
• Provide lateral service wherever is necessary in the hotel
• 10’-5’-3’ rule
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times to everyone
• Embody mission, vision and values of the hotel daily

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

• Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
• A minimum of one year of purchasing experience in the luxury hospitality industry.
• Good knowledge of Food & Beverage products (i.e. meats, poultry, seafood, dry-goods).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to read and write in English.
