Position Summary:

The Retail Manager is responsible for daily operation of the retail shops, oversees hiring, training and supervision of the retail supervisor and retail agents. This professional must have the ability to attract, hire, motivate and develop a talented team of associates.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct, lead, and manage daily operations and guest service experiences for the retail shops.
  • Establish and maintain monthly, quarterly, and yearly staff goals in an effort to exceed both professional expectations and those of our guests
  • Maintain a professional leadership style and mentors supervisors and sales staff.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluating of all sales/support staff.
  • Assume the role of counseling, coaching, disciplining, regular evaluations and inventory in a timely fashion.
  • Proactively looks beyond problems to develop solutions that maximize effectiveness of the department.
  • Provide excellence in guest customer service through hands on problem solving approaches.
  • Use all of the tools and systems provided to monitor and evaluate the retail environment and ensure consistency in all product presentations. 
  • Communicate with the Retail General Manager & Assistant Retail General Manager of guest needs and wants.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Retail Administration, Business Administration or a related field preferred. High School diploma required. Minimum 3-5 years retail management experience, preferably in a hotel/golf resort environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff in a professional manner. Excellent organizational, human resource, time management, analytical and computer skills.


Base Pay Range: $60,900.00 - $73,500.00


Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
