Position Summary:
- Works closely with standard recipes and presentations.
- Maintains quality standards and consistency of product and keeps waste to a minimum.
- Preparation of all cold appetizers, cold cuts, and salads.
- Assists in unloading of deliveries, stocking and rotating of products.
- Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
Job Duties:
- Prepare, mix, and bake.
- Unload deliveries.
- Stock and rotate product.
- Communicate with management staff and other employees.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
Education:
- Preferred culinary program graduate.
Experience:
- Requirements include food preparation in a high-volume hotel/restaurant environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate initiative, personal awareness, professionalism, positive attitude, and integrity; exercise a high quality of customer service and leadership in all areas of performance.
- Project a professional image and demeanor.
- Understand, apply, and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of weights and measures and basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to read and follow menus and recipes.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Prefer accurate knife skills.
- Google Apps experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
- Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to twist, bend and lift up to 50 lbs of sugar and flour waist high at least once per day.
- Ability to use hands, arms and fingers to mix and to operate baking equipment.
- Ability to twist, bend, kneel and reach to stock and rotate product.
- Ability to communicate verbally with others in an effective and respectful manner.
Compensation:
Base Pay Start Rate: $20.00
