Cook 3 - Pelican Grill ($20.00)

Position Summary:

• Works closely with standard recipes and presentations.  
• Maintains quality standards and consistency of product and keeps waste to a minimum.
• Preparation of all cold appetizers, cold cuts, and salads.  
• Assists in unloading of deliveries, stocking and rotating of products. 
• Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.

Job Duties:

• Prepare, mix, and bake.
• Unload deliveries.
• Stock and rotate product.
• Communicate with management staff and other employees.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Education:

• Preferred culinary program graduate.

Experience:

• Requirements include food preparation in a high-volume hotel/restaurant environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrate initiative, personal awareness, professionalism, positive attitude, and integrity; exercise a high quality of customer service and leadership in all areas of performance.
• Project a professional image and demeanor.
• Understand, apply, and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of weights and measures and basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read and follow menus and recipes.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Prefer accurate knife skills.
• Google Apps experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Ability to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to twist, bend and lift up to 50 lbs of sugar and flour waist high at least once per day. 
• Ability to use hands, arms and fingers to mix and to operate baking equipment.
• Ability to twist, bend, kneel and reach to stock and rotate product.
• Ability to communicate verbally with others in an effective and respectful manner.
