Position Summary:

Job Duties:

The Banquet Chef manages all aspects of the Banquet kitchen, including directing and overseeing the culinary staff, food preparation and costs for food and labor. Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling and supervising all Banquet kitchen staff.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Minimum five (5) years banquet management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of all health and labor regulations related to restaurant operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of cooking and food preparation for all types of banquets and special events.
  • Experience developing employee training programs.
  • Skilled in development of employee motivational programs, performance evaluations and discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to guide employees toward goal achievement.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, management and computer skills.



Must have current California Food Handler Card or willingness and ability to obtain California Food Handling Card before first day of employment.
