Position Summary:

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is a key position in the Food and Beverage operation, acting as a support for staff members and leadership. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, communication and customer service skills.  An ideal candidate is a person who is truly passionate about people and hospitality, a person who is connected to our local community, who can help bring positive ideas on how to better serve our guests and maintain & enhance employee satisfaction. This role calls for a person with an eye for detail on the floor and when inspecting our staff. Additional assist in planning and management as appropriate in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures in the areas of his/her responsibility.

Job Duties:


  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Exceptional F&B product knowledge in order to train staff and communicate with patrons 
  • Assist with staff training and hold all staff accountable
  • Have an eye for detail in all aspects of the Outlets 
  • Comply with all ABC rules and regulations. 
  • Follow all company cash flow procedures.
  • Complete all opening and closing procedures on a daily basis in his/her areas of responsibility 
  • To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel.
  • Comply with all company grooming standards 
  • Follow proper payroll, tip and uniform procedures
  • Ensure consistency in service on a daily basis
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
  • Assist with promoting and marketing efforts
  • Must read, complete knowledge of our daily, weekly and month-end protocol
  • Understand and comply with all information in Fashion Island Hotel Employee Handbook
  • Assist with maintaining proper par levels on inventory in his/her areas of responsibility
  • Be able to do accurate inventory
  • Understand and follow the California Labor Laws
  • Assist with labor controls, payroll, and scheduling
  • Fully proficient with the Micros POS system
  • Assist with customer requests, including email receipts, invoices, pre-orders, deliveries
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
  • Minimum of 2- 3 years progressive experience in a casual high volume restaurant.
  • Previous supervisor or lead experience within an casual restaurant or golf food and beverage
  • Thorough knowledge of all matters related to the proper administration of "up-scale" operation.
  • Thorough knowledge of Food, Wine, and other beverages.
  • Strong hospitality skills with an outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • California Food Handler’s certification.
  • Effective management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
