Position Summary:

The Finance & Investments group provides analysis, advisory, and decision support for investment activities of the Apartment Development division. This position will be focused on new development and redevelopment apartment projects.

Job Duties:

Lead feasibility analysis, underwriting, and performance tracking for new projects
Preparation of key deliverables to support investment decisions, including capital request memos, financial exhibits, board materials, and internal executive communication
Perform independent, ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decision making, communicating results to division leadership
Partner with subject matter experts in the division to collect the latest information and model assumptions; focus on facilitating highly collaborative processes and developing strong working relationships
Actively manage the structure and continued improvement of core underwriting and data modeling tools; supplement with streamlined, repeatable processes
Develop and enhance financial models and analytic frameworks to support new strategic initiatives
Assist in the design and implementation of processes, systems, or software to provide foundational support for a robust, data driven environment

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA or related master’s a plus.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience within corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or commercial real estate; multifamily experience a plus.
Must have excellent Microsoft Excel and data modeling skills.
Strong understanding of corporate finance with a focus on real estate investment analysis and project performance metrics required; understanding of accounting concepts a plus.
Experience preparing executive-level investment theses and exhibits required.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $137,200.00 - $169,100.00

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
