Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Architecture, contributes to the planning, design and construction of new apartment communities. The architect ensures all projects meet company standards for design excellence, livability, and long-term value. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to bring Irvine Company’s vision to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages design process from conceptual design through delivery
- Conducts site evaluations and feasibility studies to inform design decisions, taking into account local zoning, building codes, and environmental considerations
- Creates innovative and functional designs that prioritize resident experience, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal
- Prepares and reviews architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Stays abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in architecture and design
- Collaborates with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to develop and implement architectural plans for new apartment communities.
- Coordinates construction drawings and schedules
Additional Skills:
- Detail oriented, strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or related software
- Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Proficient in Bluebeam or related software
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in an architecture discipline or related field
Preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in the design of apartment/multi-family housing and mixed-use projects
Additional Requirements:
- Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $121,500.00 - $155,200.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
