Position Summary:

The Records Management Technician is a 6-month temporary position. The records technician will become a key member of the Records and Information Management (RIM) department and assist in the advancement of RIM initiatives. The position will provide support for ongoing projects that include applying records management principles to unstructured data repositories, reviewing and analyzing physical records, and updating metadata in a records management database.

Job Duties:
  • Provide support for RIM projects by creating, updating and analyzing project information and reporting documentation.
  • Review, analyze and update information on company records according to retention guidelines and standardized descriptions.
  • Support RIM team with daily operations in providing customer service by answering questions, processing requests and generating reports.
  • Assist in the searching and scanning of information in support of litigation.
  • Conduct database queries and research for team projects.
  • Provide oral and written communication to colleagues and clients.
  • Understand the value and operations of records and information management in a professional organization.
  • Learn how information flows through an organization, how it is created, maintained and preserved.
  • Develop practical solutions to real life business records management challenges.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
  • Exhibit and maintain a high degree of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality
  • Attention to detail, accurate data entry and proofreading are required
  • Skilled in Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent people skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
  • College degree preferred; High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience with Google and Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Familiarity with Accutrac or other records management database preferred
