Job Duties:
  • Pre-qualify subcontractors & Maintain Vendor Data Base
  • Preparation of Contracts, Change Orders, POs and other contract forms as required
  • Manage bid process
  • Spread revised bids and obtain approval for any price increases
  • Initiate, negotiate and award all labor and materials associated with construction of our homes for all assigned communities
  • Participate in establishing and maintaining all vertical purchasing Scopes of Work
  • Source new and better products, subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Monitor and report (on a regular basis) on subcontractor and material increases/decreases
  • Monitor and report (on a regular basis) on construction costs by plan
  • Willing to perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar or position with a production homebuilder.
  • Experience in homebuilding bidding, contracting and construction required.
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes is critical.
  • Flexible and able to shift priorities quickly and work autonomously.
  • Strong organizational, communication and management skills.
