Position Summary:

Key support position in Apartment Development - Reinvestment for preconstruction budgeting and construction administration.  This individual will gain expertise in how budgets come together, how projects are coded and how budgets inform construction bidding, construction contracts and pay applications.  This position also supports unit turn schedules, working as a liaison between ICAC Operations and the Construction deptartment.

Job Duties:

Reinvestment: Support for Preconstruction Budgeting and Capital Requests:

  • Support the development and analysis of reinvestment multifamily budgets and capital requests. 
  • Prepare key deliverables, including supporting financial exhibits.
  • Assist in annual forecasting process and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and utilize historical cost data, including project coding expertise.

Bid and Proposal Management:

  • Data management for construction bidding and contract support.
  • Provide quality control checks of Schedule of Values, Scopes of Work and other documents.
  • Understand the estimating methodology for the department and provide analytical support as needed.

Reinvestment Unit Construction Schedules:

  • Tracking of apartment unit reinvestment construction.
  • Partner with Apartment Operations leasing teams for coordination.
     

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a finance focus
  • 5+ years of real estate or business-related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Construction/real estate development experience preferred.
  • Business and financial acumen with the ability to read and interpret financial statements.
  • Expertise in excel, google suite
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organization skills a must.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, attitude for team success.
