Position Summary:

This individual is a key member of the Apartment Development team in support of all design and construction contractual documentation for large-scale projects.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare contracts and change orders requested by Project Management and Construction Management for design services and for construction.
  • Prepare Master Contracts for consultants, as needed.
  • Prepare, route and record Notices of Completion.
  • Become proficient in project coding for deep understanding and quality control.
  • Provide detailed review of contract exhibits to ensure quality.
  • Interface with SAP for purchase order uploads/financial commitments.
  • Assist in preparing documents for bidding purposes to support preconstruction, development and construction.
  • Review certificates of insurance submitted by vendors to identify deficiencies, coordinate with vendors to ensure compliance, liaise with outside vendors to ensure compliance of COIs.
  • Document and process contract closeouts.
  • Support Apartment Reinvestment contracts, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years related experience in purchasing or contract administration, preferably in the field of development and construction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, financial acumen and understanding of legal concepts.
  •  Strong organizational skills and extremely detail-oriented
  •  Self-starter, ability to work independently
  •  Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and professionalism
  •  Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to quickly learn a Sharepoint based contracting system unique to Irvine Company




Base Pay Range: $96,100.00 - $121,300.00


Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
