Position Summary:

The Investment Operations Associate position is part of the Company's fast-paced Investment Division.  Responsibilities will include serving as the primary point of contact for investment operations, including trade processing, account administration, and compliance; interfacing with portfolio accounting and reporting personnel and systems; performing various administrative duties; and assisting with general investment and market research.  This is an in-office, team oriented position requiring on-site training, mentoring, and collaboration.

Job Duties:

  • Trade processing:  daily point of contact for custodians, brokers, and internal groups (Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Security Administration, Internal Audit, etc.) for all operational matters.
  • Accounting:  become proficient in fund accounting software; ensure trades, wires, market data, corporate actions, and other transactions are booked timely and accurately; reconcile daily cash balances.
  • Reporting:  ownership of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting; able to meet tight deadlines and troubleshoot issues if they arise
  • Account administration:  prepare bank and custody account opening documents and instruction letters; maintain, update, and circulate account authorizations.
  • Compliance:  maintain investment guidelines and monitor investment and legal compliance reporting, working with Internal Audit to ensure proper controls are followed.
  • Special projects:  assist with general market research and analysis; prepare materials and exhibits for senior management; summarize Wall Street analyst reports, conference calls, and presentations upon request.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:


  • Bachelor's degree



  • Previous experience in investment operations or treasury/cash management preferred

  • Highly dependable with utmost integrity and the ability to protect confidential information
  • Self-starter that is able to see the big picture, take ownership of tasks, and suggest improvements to processes and procedures
  • Highly motivated, solves problems independently and able to meet firm deadlines
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Basic familiarity with accounting concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and constructively collaborate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to focus on work and avoid distraction
  • Flexibility to work hours/schedule as needed
