Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst supports the project proforma process, financial planning, project reporting, and strategic analytics for Irvine Company Community Development Division. This role partners closely with project management, construction, engineering, purchasing, marketing, accounting, and corporate planning teams to deliver high-quality insights that drive business performance and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development of the annual five-year business plan and quarterly forecasts by establishing baseline assumptions with the land sales group for future builder land sales, analyzes and manages independent builder profitability reporting, assesses builder financial metrics and updates various planning models. Assists in the preparation of plan/forecast-related Senior Executive-level reporting and strategic analytics.
  • Prepares weekly and month-end independent builder maps, financial reporting, including SG&A oversight, variance analyses, strategic insights, and strategic messaging
  • Provides strategic analytical insights into Community Development’s financial performance, cash flow growth, and scenario analyses
  • Creates and maintains financial models & operating tools with heavy use of Excel (primary ownership of the builder profit participation modeling)
  • Collaborates with BI, IT, Accounting, Project Management, Construction Management and Marketing groups to drive the implementation of strategic initiatives and internal process improvements, including automation and efficiency, data management, data integrity, software implementations, and business intelligence platform development

Additional Skills:

  • Superior in Excel; SAP / BPC experience preferred, but not required

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $83,800.00 - $107,800.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
