The Director will manage various aspects of land development construction, including proforma, schedules, engineering design, and bidding processes. Key responsibilities involve overseeing project budgets and schedules, coordinating with consultants and agencies, and ensuring timely delivery of graded pads, infrastructure, walls, parks and landscape to independent developers and other essential components to builders and Irvine 

Job Duties:

 

  • Provide design management.  This task includes managing engineering and related consultants work, coordination with agencies, tracking project schedules, preparation and management of project budgets, and coordination with internal project team.  
  • Prepare, track, and exonerate bonds for projects. 
  • Review invoices for agency submittals and request checks.  Work includes coding check requests. 
  • Review project plans and assist consultants in resolving technical engineering issues with agencies.
  • Manage consultant RFP templates and metrics and Prepare consultant RFPs, agency approval letters. 
  • Process and review agreements with agencies and utilities. 
  • File, process, and obtain construction permits at various agencies.
  • Develop and manage master planning studies and reports.
  • Develop and manage Construction Proforma Budgets and Cost Metrics.
  • Develop and manage Construction Schedules, Phasing and Cash Flow Schedules.
  • Develop and manage Bid Document preparation and Chair Pre-bid Meetings.
  • Manage construction and construction support RFP's and Specifications/Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Experience in land development industry. Familiarity with the City of Irvine, County of Orange, Irvine Ranch Water District and other agencies and utility companies.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer
  • Experience using BIM360, Microsoft Project, Excel, Bluebeam 1. Proficient in Word, Excel, and Google
  • Have 5 years of related engineering or project management experience
  • Must be ethical, organized, reliable, self-motivated, team player, courteous, and patient.
  • Degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Licensed driver with vehicle to travel to agencies, consultants, and job site.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $133,700.00 - $189,300.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
