Activities Specialist ($17.00)

Position Summary:

Summer Seasonal Position 

The Recreation & Activities Specialist is responsible for providing an enjoyable and safe environment for guests visiting the pool area and/or participating in planned activities in a manner that is consistent with our brand and level of service. 

The ideal candidate is responsible and able to work independently within clearly defined expectations. They will be supervised daily and then empowered to execute an event according to an established operational guideline. Regular check-ins will ensure consistent feedback.

Job Duties:

• Ensures all events are set-up properly, on-schedule, and is prepared with RSVP’s.
• Is able to graciously answer questions about the event or experience.
• Greets guests and conducts planned activities.
• Communicates with all guests and associates in a manager consistent with the brand.
• Manages expectations and knows how to handle unexpected challenges. 
• Works well with children and has experience with youth activities.
• Provide emergency care.
• Keep all related areas clean, free from debris and sanitized. 
• Communicate experience feedback with management staff and other employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

• Possess current CPR, First Aid and Water Safety certifications.
• Experience as a pool attendant/lifeguard, event coordinator, in a restaurant environment or similar position. Must be able to deliver great guest service with a positive attitude day in and day out.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with management staff and other employees in a professional manner.
