Position Summary:

The Senior Project Manager of Environmental Health and Safety is responsible for the implementation of EHS projects ensuring consistency with department & corporate policies, strategies, commitments, and goals. Key responsibilities include identifying, developing and managing contractors, proper documentation and reporting of EHS related costs with specific reporting deadlines, and most importantly managing risk while containing costs. Conducts detailed analysis of Environment Health & Safety policies/processes, revising as needed, to meet regulatory requirements as well as to identify efficiencies.

Job Duties:

  • Promotes positive, proactive customer interactions to make their Irvine Company experience of the highest quality.
  • Develops and implements projects based on regulatory requirements including but not limited to asbestos, mold, lead, etc.
  • Implement initiative and system to maintain and track Fire and Life Safety components onsite.
  • Review project specifications to understand both internal and contractor expectations, budgetary requirements and documentation requirements to satisfy project deliverables and timelines
  • Collaborate with leadership on EHS projects to ensure all quality, time, cost and risk mitigation conditions have been met. Specifically, work with internal departments to ensure completion of projects that meet Irvine Company standards. 
  • Ensure property utilization and oversight of vendors at multiple projects running concurrently.
  • Participate in the development of training modules for maintenance service teams and on-site community teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Three years multi-family leadership experience; demonstrated ability to develop and implement projects; exceptional analytical skills
  • Work is supervised based on achievement of tasks, goals and assigned projects.  Work is reviewed for good use of judgment as well as overall quantity, quality and efficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license; valid vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.  Multilingual ability a plus.
  • Occasional travel required.
