Position Summary:

The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for executing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all hourly and salaried employees. This includes administering all aspects of the company's semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll operations, auditing, reporting, and compliance. This role serves as a key resource for resolving complex payroll issues, documenting various payroll calculations, and developing and implementing ongoing process improvements. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process production payroll and manual offcycle checks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies regarding payroll, taxes, and reporting.
  • Complete payroll-related calculations for new hires, terminations, promotions, and other personnel changes impacting pay.
  • Perform reconciliation of payroll accounts and analysis of pay code-to-GL mapping.
  • Work with an external vendor (ADP) to prepare and file payroll-related tax reports, including quarterly and year-end tax filings.
  • Participate in payroll projects, system upgrades and implementations.
  • Document payroll processes and complex calculations, and identify opportunities for ongoing audits and improvements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries.

Additional Skills:

  • Provide expertise in lookback and overtime premium calculations, along with paycheck display.
  • Strong technical skills in ADP payroll software.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
     

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years performing all payroll functions

Base Pay Range: $36.88 - $45.77

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
