Position Summary:

The Senior Marketing Coordinator, Partnership Marketing position provides support in driving incremental revenue to the division via the sale of retail concepts, media, event marketing and sponsorship opportunities to high profile brands whose core values, consumer marketing strategies and sales goals closely align with Irvine Company’s. This position represents Irvine Company Retail Properties in a high profile way, interfacing with like-minded brands throughout Orange County. Additionally, the Senior Marketing Coordinator assists the Senior Director in achieving divisional business objectives of increasing NOI, driving consumer visitation and increasing retail sales while providing programming to enhance the customer experience at the Retail Centers.

Job Duties:

  • Support the Senior Director in sourcing, developing, marketing and securing non-traditional “alternative revenue” generating partnerships for the Retail Centers to include (but not limited to) the sale of:
  1. Sponsorship of marketing programs, center amenities & attractions, signature marketing events
  2. Experiential marketing activation opportunities
  3. Product displays and samplings
  4. Vehicle displays and test drives
  5. ATM’s
  6. Vending
  7. Gift Card
  8. Ticket sales with amusement parks and comedy clubs
  • Take a leadership role in selling advertising media inventory across the Retail Centers to include on-site static & digital signage as well as web and eblast.
  • Maintain inventory management of advertising media.
  • In partnership with the Senior Director, assist in cultivating excellent relationships with like-minded local, regional and national brands and their agencies to create and maintain a robust funnel of leads, sales and renewals to support YOY revenue growth.
  • Drive execution excellence for all deal fulfillment. Work closely and in partnership with Management, Operations, Leasing, Marketing, Design & Development to ensure that of all pop-up activations, sponsorship placements, signage, events, etc. are on-par with the overall aesthetics, customer experience, messaging and quality of the merchants at the Retail Centers.
  • As opportunities arise and in partnership with the Senior Director, identify new streams of revenue via the creation of new saleable signage inventory, amenities, events and marketing programs both at the Retail Centers and online.
  • When appropriate, support the execution of partnerships that extend into other divisions of Irvine Company including Office, Apartment, Homes and Resorts.
  • From time to time, support the negotiation of sponsorships of other venues such as sports teams that result in a revenue stream as well as increased marketing opportunities for the Retail Centers.
  • Support in maintaining relationships with key vendors of revenue generating programs such as American Express Gift Cards, Holiday Photo program provider, Holiday Ice Rink and 3rd party media sales of fixed media inventory.
  • Contract development and execution.

Job Duties Continued:

  • Provide verifiable and accurate proof of performance reports to clients in a timely manner of program completion.
  • Support in revenue management and associated fulfillment expense budgets for all revenue deals including coordinating invoicing, supporting accounts receivable and accurate billing.
  • Maintain tracking of projects and contacts in Salesforce.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required to coordinate on-site activations at the Retail Centers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a sales related supporting role.
  • Developed sales skills.
  • Strong ability to initiate sales contacts.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate initiative, personal awareness, professionalism, positive attitude, and integrity; exercise a high quality of customer service and leadership in all areas of performance. Project a professional image and demeanor. Understand, apply, and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must be able to multitask, balance deadlines and prioritize as needed.
  • Requires proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Gmail
  • Experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MRI, SAP, Salesforce a plus.
