Position Summary:

Serve as primary administrative support for Assistant General Counsel in the Office Properties Division.  Assist in preparing leases and related documents, and support Assistant General Counsel and Senior Paralegal in providing legal services to leasing and property management teams.

Job Duties:

  • Assist attorney and paralegal in preparing, reviewing and revising commercial leases and related documents.
  • Assist attorney and paralegal in preparing, reviewing, and revising contracts and related documents in connection with the Company’s operations.
  • Respond to property management regarding legal department policy and procedures on day-to-day legal questions and general operational and management issues.
  • Assist in setting up and coordinating litigation matters (breach of contract and unlawful detainer actions).
  • Support, advise, and assist leasing team in preparing lease documentation and coordinate lease execution process in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate, organize and track leasing and litigation activity, correspondence, filing, and administrative activity.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Not less than 4 years of experience as an administrative assistant, or strong aptitude and willingness to master required skills quickly.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with or strong aptitude and comfort with a variety of specialized computer programs and systems.
  • Real estate experience preferred.
  • Strong, detail-oriented writing and editing skills.
  • Practical and results-oriented approach coupled with sound judgment.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish attorney and department projects and priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
  • Desire for continuous learning and new challenges.
