Position Summary:

The Sr. HRIS Analyst is a senior-level position within the HRIS structure. This position partners with HR and their customers to leverage system automation, improve processes, and deliver workforce analytics.  This role also builds project plans and reports status in adherence to project schedules. In addition, the Sr. HRIS Analyst consults with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, configuration and testing of system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Sr. HRIS Analyst supports system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

Job Duties:

System Enhancement and Configuration

  • Continuously increases knowledge in HR technology by serving as an expert on functional capabilities, staying informed on product capabilities and trends,  and interacting with vendor communities. 
  • Consults with HR and business leaders on improvement ideas and recommends new innovation.
  • Collaborates with IT, Payroll, and other departments on project initiatives.
  • Manages upgrades and the release process for cloud HR system. 
  • Documents requirements, processes, solution recommendations, test plans, and change management impacts.
  • Analyzes, designs, configures, and tests systems using formal system methodologies and coordinates changes across test and production systems.
  • Creates project plans and manages the deliverables on time using formal tracking logs with timely status updates.
  • Leads initiatives and coordinates activities of others; manages consulting staff. 
  • Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality, and trains new system users.

Analytics / Reports Delivery

  • Defines and creates standard metrics for HR.
  • Designs metrics that answer relevant business questions and communicates with  stakeholders in an easy to understand dashboard format.
  • Configures and maintains reporting and analytical tools. 
  • Fulfills complex ad hoc report requests and produces recurring analytical reports.
  • Customer / System Support
  • Troubleshoots employee data and system issues; identifies improvement opportunities.
  • Manages mass data change and conversion requests. 
  • Monitors and troubleshoots integration issues within SuccessFactors and other systems.

Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, human resources, business administration or related field.
  • 5 - 7 years experience designing, configuring, and testing HR systems with strong experience utilizing software development methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of HR business processes and data needs.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools and experience delivering complex reports to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, process driven.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a complex environment.
  • Self-starter who motivates others and learns quickly.
