Position Summary:

Manages the revenue based goal, service the programs, as well as organize and coordinate all aspects of events utilizing the Catering and Conference Services departments.  Works with the management team from all related departments to monitor events and customer service and takes corrective action as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.  Provides leadership in the absence of the Director.

Job Duties:
  • Actively solicit and book corporate, social and group business meetings and events in the main banquet space. 
  • Assists with the coordination of all aspects of an event including hotel room reservations, meal menus, meeting room space, audio/visual requirements, event coordination and banquet staff, set-up and tear-down.
  • Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with all departments interacting with the Catering and Conference Services department.
  • Monitor expenses during an event to ensure meeting the budget requirements of the customer.
  • Assist in the management, development and coaching of team; provides leadership in the absence of the Director.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding revenue-based sales goal.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
  • 4 to 5 years management experience in a catering/banquet environment
  • Ability to sell events in a professional manner
  • Good food and beverage knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.  Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods to guide employees toward goal achievement.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, management and computer skills
