Senior Manager, Maintenance Operations ($110,200 - $163,200)

Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager of Maintenance Ops - Fire Systems is part of the Maintenance Services corporate team and is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Portfolio’s fire and life safety systems including but not limited to fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and other ancillary systems.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University is preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years experience in fire alarm monitoring/sprinkler systems to include clear understanding of any deficiencies noted and prioritization of response/repair.
- 3+ years in general maintenance or facilities field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Expertise in National Fire Protection Associate (NFPA) codes/standards.
- Understanding of authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong business and technical skills.
- Travel required at times on-site and to San Diego and Northern California apartment communities (up to 50% of time).
- To complete inspections will include walking properties, climbing stairs, etc.
- Limited lifting, no more than 20 pounds.
Licenses and Certificates:
- NFPA 25, Certified Fire Inspector, or Certified Fire Protection.
- Specialists certifications preferred, but not required.
- Valid driver’s license; valid vehicle insurance.
- This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company's MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $110,200.00 - $163,200.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
