Position Summary:

The Senior Manager is responsible for inspiring a spirit of teamwork and trust amongst a team of accountants motivating them to perform at their best, sharing accounting knowledge that allows them to continue to improve their accounting skills and business judgment. The Senior Manager is resourceful, is able to execute department tasks and goals. The primary responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day accounting tasks, assessing current processes for efficiency, proposing and implementing solutions and leading or assisting with special projects.

Job Duties:
  • Business owner of accounting processes for debt service, cash, and corporate receivables
  • Collaborate with direct reports through knowledge transfer, supervision and review of accounting entries to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Approve month end reconciliations to ensure balance sheet and operating statements are accurate
  • Financial service liaison to Corporate Finance and Treasury
  • Lead security administration team on day-to-day banking and wire transfer tasks ensuring compliance with Company policy
  • Responsible for system administration of the cloud based Blackline reconciliation and task manager modules
  • Prepare working papers and schedules for the Company’s interim and fiscal year-end financial audit and calendar year-end tax return
  • Coordinate with Corporate, operating division teams and direct reports to prepare the annual Plan / Forecast for Corporate cost centers
  • Analyze current processes and engage subject matter experts to leverage technology and resources to create efficiencies
  • Lead, participate and contribute to other duties as requested

General Requirements

  • Apply critical thinking and be resourceful to propose business solutions
  • Review lead indicators to proactively address potential accounting issues
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3 or more years of managerial experience.
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft Excel
  • Google Apps experience a plus.
Nature & Extent of Supervision Provided to Job
  • The Sr. Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Corporate Accounting.
Other Qualifications - Preferred Experience
  • Experience in debt instrument accounting
  • Blackline administration
