Position Summary:

Manage and coordinate the design and execution of architectural projects for Irvine Company Office Property (ICOP) development and re-investment projects.

Job Duties:
  • Interface with the Vice President of Architecture for project design strategy as it relates to ownership or divisional design perspective.
  • Responsible for the design implementation process for new development and re-investment  architectural projects located in our key project regions of Orange County, San Diego, Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and Chicago.
  • Represent company interests throughout the design,  production,  and construction process with all architectural design consultants and their sub-consultants.
  • Coordinate on a project-by-project basis with consultant designers, project managers, construction administrators, and ICOP development and construction teams to track programming and project requirements.
  • Review architectural design consultant’s and sub-consultant’s design and construction documents and specifications for conformance to ICOP and industry design, programming, and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with consultaant and construction teams the ownership review of project submittals, shop drawings, ASI's and RFI's for project design conformance.
  • Support development and construction teams with on-site field coordination on a project-by-project basis interfacing with all members of the project team.
  • Oversea and manage Office Planning and Design workflow priorities and manpower allocations, development and implement process management  tools, as required, for effective project communication and coordination for all architectural, interiors, amenity, and landscape projects.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
  • Undergraduate professional degree in Architectural Design.
  • 15+ years of related work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad, Sketchup, BIM, Adobe Photoshop and MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Google apps experience a plus.
  • Licensed architect strongly preferred.
  • Professional Construction Administration  experience in projects beneficial.
  • Knowledge of wayfinding signage, retail and advertising graphics, and graphic design is beneficial.
  • General knowledge of building and zoning codes beneficial.
  • General knowledge of LEED and sustainability guidelines beneficial.
