Position Summary:

Irvine Company is seeking a detail-oriented Enterprise Architect to assist in the operations of our Salesforce platform.   The Enterprise Architect’s responsibilities include improving the current Salesforce infrastructure, optimizing business operations and setting the direction and approach for integrating CRM information applications and programs.    The Enterprise Architect is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining and enforcing overall governance of  Salesforce enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities and components to adequately perform the organization’s business and technology activities.

 

To be successful as the Salesforce Enterprise Architect, you should have excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills.   You should also have strong leadership, communications and interpersonal skills.

Job Duties:
  • The Salesforce Enterprise Architect role is responsible for defining technical solutions to business problems across the Irvine Company’s Salesforce platform. Collaboration with business owners, SMEs, CRM leaders, and technical team members is critical and the ability to translate across the functional/technical divide are required skills in order to be successful in this role.
  • Evaluates internal functions, business development strategies along with IT processes to suggest improvements.
  • Creates business architecture models to reflect the organization’s CRM strategies and goals to implement business visions and goals.
  • Evaluates Salesforce technology and implementation approach along with talent recruiting models for discrepancies and vulnerabilities.
  • Translate the to-be business process and requirements into a detailed technical approach  in order to meet business goals while maintaining technical best practices
  • Identify, document, and maintain a published set of technical best practices and solution patterns and ensure adoption and implementation across a broad set of Salesforce projects
  • Collaborate with application solution architects to solve technical challenges
  • Serve as the Salesforce platform technical owner and steward to ensure long term success of the platform and manage technical debt
  • Provides business and technical architecture along with system processing guidelines.
  • Creates methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management and change control.
  • Ensure efficiency, security and support for the organization’s CRM goals.
  • Determines build versus buy strategies, mentors CRM personnel and implementation of the overall CRM business strategy
     
General Requirements

  • 8+ years experience working in a system architect role with Salesforce platform, specifically Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities, Force.com/Heroku and Wave Analytics
  • Excellent technical, analytical and project management skills.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
  • SFDC Experience working in Lightning/Communities, APEX class / coding, Custom coding, Process Builder, Triggers, Visualforce, Workflows, CSS, HTML, Templates and Web Services
  • Salesforce certifications preferred: Application Architect, System Architect
  • Experience with Agile Scrum delivery framework
  • Experience working with distributed external resources and vendor teams (onshore and offshore)
  • College degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Understanding of SaaS platform development best practices
  • Analytical mindset able to break down complex business problems and document proposed process solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Experience in modeling and graphic representations.
  • Self Directed - Resource should be passionate about the work
  • Competent Multi-tasker - The resource must be able to accomplish prioritized tasks, given a mixture of coarse and fine grained priorities
  • Deep experience in the Salesforce Sales, Service, Marketing, Communities and App Clouds. A candidate must have a deep working knowledge of the ways that data is shared between clouds, secured and securely propagated to/synchronized with external systems.
  • Well versed in the Lightning user experience, its architectural goals, limitations, and its benefits over the legacy Salesforce classic user experience.
