Position Summary:

The Product Manager, Operations is responsible for identifying business needs, defining user stories, and working with stakeholders on prioritizing technology projects and enhancements to operational platforms. They will ensure project teams and stakeholders stay aligned with divisional vision and goals, help drive product roadmaps, prioritize, and facilitate decisions related to the ROI of features. They will work and stay aligned with other divisional product managers in business and IMT to assure requests that have enterprise implications are understood and the best approach is determined.
 
This role will oversee day-to-day business system administration and support of Operations platforms and technologies and work closely with the business leads and the IT team on their continuous improvement and enhancement.  Activities include the following:

Job Duties:

  • Support existing operational technologies and platforms such as the operational work order system and the Technology Enablement team’s internal service desk platform
  • Seek out opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency and contain operational costs by enhancing and integrating existing platforms and technologies and recommending new ones as appropriate
  • Partner with cross-departmental stakeholders and committees from Operations, Engineering, Construction, and other groups to understand business needs and deliver solutions accordingly
  • Collaborate with members of the Office Properties Technology Enablement team and the IT organization to complete large technology projects, release enhancements, and provide ongoing support
  • Manage related product backlogs and release schedules
  • Report regularly to stakeholders to communicate status updates and share pertinent information
  • Partner with Communications and the learning organization on implementation and rollout activities of new features, major enhancements, and learning opportunities
  • Maintain expertise on operational platforms and technologies through continuous learning and attendance of applicable industry events

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in IT or Business
  • 8 years experience working in technology and on technology projects, management-level experience preferred
  • Experience managing a team required
  • Product and change management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies preferred
  • Experience with operational and technology service platforms required, ServiceNow and Angus Anywhere are preferred 
  • Knowledgeable about commercial real estate operations (i.e.: leasing transactions, property management, building operations, etc.)
