Position Summary:

The Manager, Procurement is responsible for developing and executing strategic procurement plans for the Apartments Division to mitigate risk and achieve cost containment. This role aligns annual strategic plans and budgets with Irvine Company Apartment Communities’ (ICAC) Senior Management and On-site teams to meet company goals. Additionally, the manager oversees supplier relationships to ensure pricing accuracy, quality standards, and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned commodities for critical services, including elevators, pest control, trash management, and waste hauling, by monitoring vendor performance and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
  • Optimizes vendor management by implementing strategic onboarding, performance monitoring, and service assessments to ensure high-quality service delivery, scope compliance, and measurable business results.
  • Cultivates a robust vendor network by proactively sourcing and developing new partners to deliver competitive, reliable services aligned with the division’s operational needs
  • Analyzes, develops, and enhances procurement processes to promote efficiency and cost containment; collaborate with department and operational leaders to implement process improvements and new initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive audit and business review strategy for assigned commodities to ensure compliance, performance accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Supports operational needs for new developments and transitions by partnering with Cross Divisional Leadership teams.
  • Provides guidance and support to division leaders, end-users, and suppliers on Coupa functionality and related procurement processes
  • Contributes to spend quality management and process improvements by serving on cross-divisional commodity teams.

Additional Skills:

  • Project management experience required.
  • Procurement/sourcing experience preferred.
  • Prior multi-family property management experience preferred.
  • Prior experience and comfort level in training delivery and professional presentations preferred.
  • Prior experience with Coupa and/or Salesforce preferred.
  • Must be proficient in all Google Suite products (Docs, Slides, Sheets).
  • Must be proficient in all Google Suite or Microsoft products (Docs/Word, Slides/Powerpoint, Sheets/Excel).
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience:

  • 5 - 8 years

Additional Requirements:

  • PMP Certification from Project Management Institute preferred        
  • Occasional travel required up to 10%

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $100,100.00 - $128,900.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
