Position Summary:

The Salesforce Platform Manager is the face of the Salesforce platform to the development resources working on Salesforce support and/or project work and is responsible for the overall management of the development of the platform. They are responsible for leading project and support teams, understanding requirements, designing solutions, and implementing configurations and/or customizations on Salesforce.com. They develop methodology and best practices for the development teams and help reinforce best practices and processes implemented by the Enterprise Architect and DevOps Team. 

Job Duties:

  • Involved as a Salesforce subject matter expert / technical expert for all enhancement and maintenance projects related to the Office and Retail Salesforce org.
  • Maintain and update Confluence pages pertaining to Irvine Company best practices as it pertains to:
  • Salesforce Configuration and development
  • Documentation of deployment steps
  • Have a strong understanding of the DevOps process and provide oversight of internal and external team members to ensure proper development and documentation of deployment steps in Jira tickets 
  • Review all pull requests from project and support resources and approve / reject as needed
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of technical debt issues and work with relevant teams to develop a strategy for addressing these issues and report back on the progress 
  • Manage consulting/development partners working in the organization to mitigate code conflicts for work that is being developed in parallel / simultaneously
  • Keep informed / apprised of upcoming SF upgrades / feature retirements and advise of any potential opportunities and risks to the org with the relevant IT team members 
  • Responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our org.
  • Develop technical design documents for internally developed work / review technical design documents developed by external teams for outsourced work to ensure adherence to Irvine Company Standards
  • Optimize and maintain Salesforce declarative changes for example profiles, security, workflows, metadata types, page layouts, and Lightning pages.
  • Respond and provide support for critical production support related issues. Troubleshoot issues and identify related solutions.
  • Manage any system code/configuration changes required related to Salesforce releases.
  • Available during production deployments to assist with any issues that occur during deployment or that are discovered during smoke testing.
  • Manage / oversee the support resources
     

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • 5 years minimum experience in Salesforce development and administration
  • Be confident in conducting Apex code reviews with the developers that report to you
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing source control on a Salesforce project
  • Salesforce Certified (Developer Certification required, Architect certification preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce administration and development; security, standard objects, reports/dashboards, Knowledge, Digital Experiences, data management and sandbox environments
  • Able to plan, build, test and deploy new integrations.
  • Ability to work well with people including project stakeholders and project team members.
  • Proactive desire to continue to broaden and deepen technical knowledge, business and consulting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with advanced Salesforce.com development tools and techniques, e.g. Apex language, Force.com custom development, triggers, controllers, JavaScript, Force.com SOAP and REST APIs, JSON, sObjects, SOQL, SOSL, UI API, outbound messaging, Lightning Components and Visualforce pages
  • Confident in communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $143,200.00 - $182,100.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
