Position Summary:

Manager, Accounting-AR is responsible for supervising onsite and offshore staff accountants -AR.  Primary responsibilities include management of all accounts receivable business functions and procedures for the accounts receivable collection process, motivating the team to perform at their best, sharing accounting knowledge that allows them continue to improve their accounting skills, audit methods and procedures of accounts receivable function to improve efficiency, and leading or assisting with special projects.

 

Job Duties:

  • Strong knowledge of Hospitality business
  • Maintain up-to-date billing system and collection of payments
  • Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to deadlines
  • Strong ability to handle escalated guests and difficult problems
  • Reconciliation of accounts and monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Prepare month-end reconciliations
  • Coach and mentor AR staffs and generate positive team dynamics through strong leadership, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Handle chargeback disputes
  • Ensure all A/R tasks are completed for the day
  • Assist and facilitate with year-end Audit
  • Negotiate settlements and payment terms with all customers
  • Attend monthly credit and pre-cons meetings
  • Oversee the credit review process 
  • Be familiar will all accounting procedures and manage daily end to end financial transactions 
  • Assist with any other duties assigned by Sr. Accounting Manager 
  • Supervisory experience
  • Work in a team environment while also being able to work independently on certain tasks
  • Use of Microsoft products (including Word and Excel)
  • Utilize Resort specific applications (Opera, Delphi, Micros, Shift4, Spasoft, GivEx)
  • Build and maintain strong and positive relationships with Operations and Guests
  • Follow the companies provided SOP

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Hospitality preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and detailed-oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexible to change and able to work in team environment
  • Demonstrate initiative and professionalism
  • Minimum of 6 + years experience in related field
  • Advanced Excel Skills
