Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, this position will be the on-site hotel contact handling day-to-day operations and execution of on-property marketing initiatives on the property. This position will work closely with Irvine Company Resort Properties corporate marketing team to develop key marketing initiatives as it pertains to the overall strategy for Hotel Irvine's top initiatives and goals.

Job Duties:
  • Manage on-site requests for marketing materials, printed collateral and digital assets, working alongside corporate marketing to determine content and execution for each initiative
  • Manage all social media outlets, including up-to-the-minute postings and activity as it happens on property
  • Serve as an extension of corporate marketing to assist sales, catering and hotel operations with execution of marketing events and promotions
  • Assist with the creation and development of special events such as fashion shows, concerts, pool parties and other locally driven events at the hotel
  • Manage the execution of special events and holiday promotions
  • Serve as the on-site brand manager to ensure all key standards are upheld and executed based on guidelines provided by corporate marketing
  • Attend on-site events, as well as local community events as the face and representative of the hotel and The Irvine Company
  • Determine and create new opportunities to target the surrounding communities to focus on driving business
  • Assist with media relations events, public relations requests, photo shoots, and photography requests, as needed
  • Assist with management of online review sites, as needed
  • Uphold brand standards of The Irvine Company and assist with enforcing these standards individually for each property
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, advertising or related field
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in a marketing, public relations or advertising role
  • Excellent grammar and writing skills with experience in copy writing and drafting marketing content
  • Knowledge and first-hand experience in planning and managing content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms
  • Basic photography skills and an eye for layouts, design, and aesthetics preferred
  • Experience with Google-based applications, Microsoft Office and Adobe design products
  • Excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, independent environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
