Position Summary:

Irvine Company's Retail Division has an exciting opportunity in our Marketing Department.  We are looking to hire a Marketing Coordinator or Senior Marketing Coordinator (depending on experience). In this role you will be responsible for copywriting, editing and coordination for digital marketing projects including email, web, mobile apps, local listings, and online reviews.  

Job Duties:

 

Email Marketing:

  • Ensure all content for email marketing initiatives are in-line with overall strategy, marketing direction and brand guidelines
  • Work with multiple internal functional groups to maintain a content calendar and assemble creative briefs
  • Assist in writing copy and formatting images for HTML email communications that are distributed to external customers
  • Review and test all emails across various platforms to ensure there are no display issues, links work correctly, and copy/images are correct
  • Works with Marketing Technology team to manage email optimization tactics to encourage highest engagement possible. This might include: subject line A/B testing, preference center, database queries, etc.
  • Produces monthly metrics reports that include traditional email metrics (open rate, CTR, CTOR, unsubscribe rate, etc.) to track email deliverability results, successes, issues, and challenges; as well as track other ROI metrics associated with campaign calls to action (sales, no. leads, no. event attendees, no. redemptions) 
  • Keep marketing team apprised of ways to continuously increase customer database
  • Review competitors on a regular basis and keep team apprised of interesting initiatives and applications to Retail’s email program
  • Assist with internal email communication programs

 

Web Marketing:

  • OrangeCountyZest.com: write blog posts for external audience that are both fun and informational, driving traffic and sales to Retail Properties tenants (retail, dining, and event focused)
  • Assist Digital Marketing Manager in creating and updating content (copy, images, metadata, etc.) on 5+ websites
  • Implement search engine optimization (SEO) 
  • Assist digital marketing team with web design and development projects, especially with QA/UAT
  • Quality control retail websites (make sure copy is grammatically correct; images and home page banners are current; interactive map is working properly; directory and dining guide are updated, etc.)

 

Mobile Apps:

  • Keep leasing iPad app content updated (photography, maps, demographics, marketing collateral, etc.)
  • Assist digital marketing team with QAing mobile app development projects (ex. Retail Therapy)

 

Local Listings:

  • Manage local listings for 40+ properties via Yelp and Brandify (Facebook, Google My Business, Bing, Yahoo, Yellow Pages, etc.) to ensure property information is always current (shopping center hours, photography, addresses, descriptions, etc.)
  • Respond to customer reviews as needed
  • Update CTA buttons

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years experience with demonstrated success in digital marketing project management
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
  • Must be flexible, with the ability to multi-task and frequently adjust to changing priorities and timeliness in a fast-paced working environment
  • Self-starter, constantly thinking proactively and identifying new opportunities
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to write with a given audience in mind, keeping communication clear and concise
  • Technical Skills:
    • Working knowledge website CMS (preferably Contentful, Umbraco and Wordpress)
    • Working knowledge of HTML
    • Email service provider experience (preferably Acoustic (fka Silverpop))
    • Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop)
