Position Summary:

Responsible for applying consistent accounting principles and procedures to record and analyze financial information, maintain the integrity of the financial records, provide transparent and accurate financial information to Sr. Management, prepare accurate and timely financial reports, and ensure adherence to appropriate accounting control procedures.

Job Duties:

  • Enhanced reporting and invoice oversight to better- track costs associated with insurance incidents/claims, provide greater visibility to Risk Management, and to maximize insurance claim reimbursements
  • Review insurance claim support to ensure they meet the reporting requirements of the carrier
  • Ensure capitalization/expense decisions are in accordance with company policy while  maximizing available tax deductions
  • Provide purchase order oversight to better monitor expenditures and to mitigate the risk of overpayment
  • Partner with Risk Management and Community Management to identify potential charges to residents when renters insurance is not available 
  • Leverage technology to improve current processes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
     

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • BA or BS in Accounting with CPA
  • 7+ years accounting experience, preferably in Real Estate Management
  • Experience using SAP a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience in report writing
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a fast-paced; collaborative environment across the organization
  • Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented; self-motivated; ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills 

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $99,400.00 - $131,700.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
