Landscape Supervisor - Oak Creek Golf Course ($25.00)

Job Duties:

• Supervise and direct landscape staff.
• Assist in the management of clubhouse and golf course landscape. 
• Manages all aspects of landscape (Irrigation, pest control, fertilization, and plant maintenance).
• Sets schedules for projects and daily maintenance. 
• Assist in the purchasing of plant supplies, materials, and tools needed for landscape.
• Applies fertilizers, pesticides and soil conditioners with recommendations of the Director of Golf Course Maintenance. 
• Manages and maintains ornamental nursery. 
• Prepare soil plant beds, establish plantings by seed or transplant, maintain annual and perennial flowers in aesthetically pleasing arrangements. 
• Plant and maintain ornamental shrubs and trees. Tasks include appropriate pruning, trimming, root feeding and pest control. 
• Operate mechanical and power equipment utilized in the maintenance of ornamental plans and trees. 
• Performs all other duties as directed by supervisors (Director of Golf Course Maintenance, Assistant 

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

• Five or more years of relevant work experience. Management or supervisory experience preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Requires state pesticide certificate or will need to attain pesticide certificate (QAC).
• Knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscape are maintenance work. 
• Knowledge of the characteristics and cultural requirements of ornamental plans, shrubs and trees adapted to the region. 
• Knowledgeable in the proper use of fertilizers, soil conditioners, and pesticides utilized in the maintenance of ornamentals.
• Ability to safety operate trucks and light motorized equipment. 
• Able to lift fifty (50) pounds overhead; able to work and stand for prolonged periods of time; able to work in outdoor environment.
• Spanish speaking skills a plus
