Position Summary:

Responsible to maintain greens of the golf course and surrounding areas based on department standards. 

Job Duties:

  • Maintain sand trap areas.
  • Operate equipment in order to maintain the area (e.g., blower, weed-eater, watering equipment set-up).
  • Mow and maintain greens, tees, roughs, and approaches.
  • Hand water designated areas.
  • Maintain and repair irrigation system (Greenskeeper II). 
  • Apply fertilizer, insecticide, fungicide appropriately (Greenskeeper II).
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Greenskeeper I:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Must be able to safely utilize hand tools and landscaping equipment.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and carry heavy objects (see Physical Requirements)


Greenskeeper II:

  • The above, plus previous experience in golf maintenance preferred.
