Position Summary:

Reports to Senior Director, Financial Planning & Analysis


The Apartments Financial Planning & Analysis team leads the annual business plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly financial and leasing reporting and portfolio-level strategic analysis for Irvine Company Apartment Communities.
The Team works in collaboration with property operations, leasing, asset management, development, acquisition,
finance and accounting colleagues

Job Duties:

  • Support the completion of annual business plan and quarterly forecasts.
  • Assist in data validation, plan and forecast reviews, create summary reports for budget variances, occupancy and leasing updates, and operating expenses.
  • Work closely with property operations, asset management and leasing teams; provide support and lead communications during the plan and forecast processes.
  • Prepare month-end financial reporting, variance analyses and lease reporting.
  • Support IT initiatives and internal process improvements.
  • Prepare quarterly benchmarking report data.
  • Help to maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, including improvement initiatives through software implementation and business intelligence platform development.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, economics, or related field.


Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a real estate finance or analytical role.
  • Experience with financial statement analysis and strong understanding of corporate finance concepts.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Expert in Excel, including strong modeling capability.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $81,000.00 - $103,400.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
