Position Summary:
The Field Coordinator for the SB721 Inspection Team plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the inspection process related to California Senate Bill 721 (SB721). This legislation mandates inspections of certain building components to ensure safety and compliance. The Field Coordinator is responsible for coordinating field activities, ensuring the efficient execution of inspections, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance with state regulations
Job Duties:
- Supervise Inspection vendor crews and provide guidance regarding Irvine Company standard protocols.
- Maintain and be responsible for apartment unit keys.
- Lock and unlock apartment to maintain security for resident following Irvine Company policies.
- Provides entry to apartment for vendor, following all guidelines, and Interacts with residents during construction and repairs.
- Ensure pets are secured within the resident unit.
- Moves resident furniture/belongings as required to allow vendor access.
- Assist in supporting quality assurance reviews on apartment after construction complete - ensure belongings are returned and unit is clean.
- Creates schedules for follow up work, to be provided to vendor.
- Supports Maintenance Services projects as needed, to include but not limited to water intrusion inspection, fire alarm project, smoke detectors, etc.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 year customer service experience; ICAC on-site experience preferred.
Other:
- Strong Customer Service background with experience maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate, create consensus, and engage in cross-departmental teams.
- Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to speed, detail, and quality.
- Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing; multi-lingual a plus.
- Ability to successfully oversee a vendor crew.
- Ability to understand and hold vendor to Irvine Company policies and procedures.
- Outdoor grounds and individual units of property including uneven surfaces.
- Frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Occasional stooping and bending at the waist.
- Occasional pushing and pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Exposure to resident pets.
- Exposure to varying degrees of temperature within an apartment unit and to outside elements.
- Occasional travel may be required to visit inspection sites in other regions.
Compensation:
Base Pay Start Rate: $22.69
