Position Summary:
The Director of Marketing Insights & Analytics will provide leadership in developing, refining, and executing our marketing insights and analytics strategy within a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this position will oversee all aspects of marketing insights, play a key role in understanding customer intelligence and NPS, and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. The role requires a strategic insights leader who can elevate our understanding of the market and our customers, optimize marketing performance, and identify opportunities for growth and innovation through sophisticated analytics and actionable recommendations.
Job Duties:
- Build and own the marketing insights roadmap, establishing best practices and frameworks for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Lead market research initiatives to understand industry trends, competitive landscapes, and identify unmet customer needs relevant to business strategies.
- Partner with Operations and other relevant teams to manage the execution and analysis of customer surveys (e.g., first-impression, Net Promoter Score, etc.) and proactively identify new areas across the customer journey where gathering feedback could yield impactful insights for the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synthesize customer data from various sources, including CRM, website analytics, and customer feedback, to develop a holistic understanding of customer behavior and preferences.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing activities, creating insightful dashboards and reports to track progress, identify areas for optimization, and communicate performance to stakeholders.
- Research, develop, and implement a comprehensive B2B marketing attribution model to understand the impact of various marketing touchpoints on lead generation, opportunity creation, and ultimately, revenue. This includes evaluating different attribution methodologies and working with relevant tools and technologies.
- Explore and implement predictive analytics techniques to forecast marketing outcomes, identify high-potential customer segments, and optimize targeting and personalization efforts.
- Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional teams to synthesize relevant data and guide the design of marketing strategies across key functions.
- Partner closely with teams across marketing, leasing, operations, and asset management to ensure a unified understanding of the customer and to drive data-informed decisions throughout the organization.
- Educate stakeholders across departments on key customer insights and recommendations.
- Continuously research and implement new methodologies, tools, and technologies in the field of marketing and customer analytics.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing analytics, market research, or customer insights, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of B2B marketing principles and strategies across various channels (digital, account-based marketing, etc.).
- Strong expertise in market research methodologies (both qualitative and quantitative), survey design, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Pardot), web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience researching, developing, and implementing B2B marketing attribution models.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. 1
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect insights to business objectives.
- Experience with NPS or other customer satisfaction measurement methodologies.
- A proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $152,600.00 - $193,000.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
