Position Summary:

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for independently developing and implementing innovative and engaging marketing and communication strategies across all channels for Irvine Company's Office division. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, this role will lead the Communications function, including external, customer and internal. Key areas of responsibility include brand/customer marketing & communications programs, customer retention initiatives, reinvestment marketing & communications, and public relations efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in B2B marketing and communications, with a demonstrated record of fostering creativity and driving impactful initiatives that drive business results.

Job Duties:

  • Lead the concepting, development, and implementation of innovative marketing & communications strategies aimed at driving brand awareness and preference, customer engagement and market share growth.
  • Implement customer retention-focused marketing and communication strategies to maximize customer lifetime value and foster long-term relationships.
  • Effectively communicate reinvestment efforts and initiatives to key audiences.
  • Manage customer communication programs, including executive, facility manager and end-user.
  • Manage the marketing & communications for the Office division's Retail Amenities to drive sales and repeat business.
  • Manage the Internal Communications function, including developing strategies for effective information sharing and employee engagement, overseeing channels such as the intranet, email, employee meetings.
  • Execute PR strategies and campaigns to enhance brand visibility in support of business objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end management and execution of marketing & communication campaigns, inclusive of briefing, creative, media and reporting.
  • Establish and manage external agency relationships to deliver excellent work that is on-strategy, on time and on-budget. 
  • Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams including Leasing, Operations, Development, Construction, Design, Marketing Technology and IT teams. 
  • Manage a team of communication professionals.
  • Prepare executive presentations and status updates in close collaboration with agency partners and internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, etc.
     

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications roles, with a focus on B2B marketing.
  • Experience in commercial real estate or with premium brands.
  • Results-driven individual with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to balance strategic and creative thinking with a bias for action.
  • Proven track record in creative development and execution of integrated campaigns; hands-on ability to lead the successful execution of the creative process.  
  • Experience delivering best-in-class creative solutions with agility and speed to market.
  • Naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
  • An ability to inspire trust and followership in others through compelling influence and passion in their beliefs.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strategic thinking, with a focus on driving innovation through collaboration.
     

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $148,300.00 - $189,800.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
