Position Summary:

The Director of Flex Workspace+ Marketing will develop and implement a strategic marketing program to position Irvine Company’s flexible, move-in ready workspace product as the ideal choice for changing workspace needs. This marketing leader will work closely with the Flex Workspace+ product team to develop branding, messaging, digital products, and onsite materials to drive direct and broker-generated leases. 

Working independently and collaboratively across multiple work streams is critical in this role. Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing & Communications, this role presents an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the Flex Workspace+ program and directly drive program growth and results.

The Flex Workspace+ program currently spans over 5M SF across Irvine Company’s portfolio of 150+ workplaces. 

Job Duties:

  • Lead the development of refreshed positioning, value proposition, and messaging and translate into cohesive go-to-market strategy along with associated campaigns.
  • Develop the strategy, execution, and optimization of prospect, broker, and customer-facing activities across the Flex Workspace+ marketing mix.
  • Partner with the Office Digital Marketing Team to develop innovative digital tools that create a consumer-inspired Flex Workspace+ leasing experience, including email, website, and digital media.
  • Responsible for end-to-end management and execution of marketing campaigns, inclusive of briefing, creative, media, and reporting.
  • Proactively spearhead the integration of Flex Workspace+ storytelling across portfolio-wide marketing initiatives as relevant. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Leasing, Operations, Development, Construction, Design, Marketing Technology, and IT teams. 
  • Continuously educate marketing and cross-functional colleagues about the Flex Workspace+ offering and marketing approach. 
  • Stay up-to-date on flexible workspace trends and industry news; infuse new insights into marketing approach as relevant. 
  • Prepare executive presentations and status updates in close collaboration with agency partners and internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, etc.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a related field is required.
  • Experienced professional with a minimum of 8 years of marketing experience.
  • Strategic and creative thinker.  Strong messaging and communication skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to balance strategic and creative thinking with a bias for action.
  • Results-driven individual with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfort in working in a fast-paced, team-oriented, consensus-driven environment.
  • Positive, professional, and accommodating attitude.
  • Assess and make sound evaluations and judgments.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Experience in commercial real/flexible workspace products
  • Creative agency account management experience a plus
  • Startup/entrepreneurial and/or real estate/hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar and Drive) and high comfort level with technology
  • Product management, brand management, and/or B2B/B2C experience
