Position Summary:

The Director, Financial Planning at the Apartment Division is responsible for financial planning, reporting, analysis, and research in support of operating activities. The planning team coordinates financial reviews and the overall budgeting and forecasting process for Apartment Communities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the financial planning and budgeting process by effectively partnering with and aligning key stakeholder functions.
  • Aggregates and consolidates Divisional forecasts and budgets.
  • Oversees the production of monthly financial and capital reporting, conducting financial reviews on a periodic basis.
  • Provides proactive guidance on operational results and cash flow needs to Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Corporate Finance.
  • Structures custom analyses that drive insight into Company operating and financial performance.
  • Reengineers and streamlines existing processes, procedures and systems as needed to scale the business for growth.
  • Leads and mentors junior members of the team.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience:

  • 7 - 10 years

Additional Requirements:

  • B.S. / B.A. degree with an emphasis on Real Estate, Economics and/or Finance. MBA / CPA a plus        
  • Work experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, with significant experience in the real estate industry; multifamily background a plus. 

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $161,100.00 - $201,600.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
