Position Summary:

The Procurement Director leads the procurement shared services team, which supports the corporate procurement, supplier onboarding and insurance monitoring/maintenance functions, as well as administration of the Company’s Coupa eProcurement system. This role partners and collaborates with division/group leadership and teams to support operational, tactical and strategic procurement tasks for the enterprise. The position proactively leads the transition and consolidation of administrative procurement activities from the operating divisions to the shared services team.  This role is integral to help shape the future state of procurement across the Company and lead related transformation.

Key responsibilities include: implementation and ongoing maintenance of an eProcurement solution; managing corporate procurement contracts and activities, developing and operating a supplier management and approval process; managing supplier risk and qualification; overseeing the 1099 tax reporting; leading/participating in cross-functional teams; implementing best practices; and documenting, streamlining and standardizing source-to-pay processes.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee team of 5+ team members (2 managerial and 3 staff) that is responsible for supplier onboarding, corporate procurement and day-to-day administration of the eProcurement platform
  • Partner with IT, Accounts Payable and division team to implement the eProcurement tool, as well as develop new functionality and reporting capabilities
  • Lead and support a continuous process improvement culture
  • Manage and execute Corporate Procurement contracts and activities
  • Administer and manage a supplier management, categorization and approval program
  • Maintain, update and manage supplier master data (e.g. rationalization, supplier terms, payment methods, etc.)
  • Develop and manage a supplier qualification process and standards, leveraging best practices (e.g. insurance monitoring, risk assessment, etc.)Oversee 1099 tax reporting process and submission
  • Lead administrative efforts in the Cross Divisional Procurement Program
  • Develop an enterprise procurement strategy through collaboration with business owners and divisions
  • Lead efforts to standardize enterprise procurement processes to maximize value to the organization and reduce administrative effort requirements, while maintaining strong internal controls
  • Collaborate with other division leaders to identify and implement new concepts across business functions and initiatives
  • Develop and present training materials and documents to assist end users with policies and procedures and technology tools
  • Present reports and analysis, as needed (e.g. vendor spend analysis)
  • Support Internal and External Audit data requests, as needed
  • Assist with special projects and other duties, as assigned
  • Team player with ability to collaborate with business, functional, and corporate partners
  • Provides support, coaching and leadership of team and other source-to-pay associates
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • A B.A. or B.S. degree in supply chain management, finance, accounting, economics, engineering or a related area
  • 5+ years of supply management /procurement in a managerial role or related experience
  • SAP and modern procurement tool (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, etc.) experience preferred
  • Google Apps experience, a plus
  • A proven track record with change management and implementation of best practices
