Position Summary:

This role oversees day-to-day compliance tasks-such as move-in certifications and annual recertifications for a portfolio of affordable housing communities, while supporting on-site teams with guidance on program requirements.

Job Duties:

  • Manages Below Market Rent (BMR) unit certifications, from initial move-ins (approving or denying eligibility) to timely annual recertifications.
  • Manages all resident recertification communications, including reminders and documentation collection. Maintains comprehensive records and updates the Affordable Automation Application.
  • Collaborates with on-site teams and legal counsel on compliance issues, including lease terminations. Supports on-site teams, Portfolio Management, and Centralized Resident Services (CRS) with lease renewals and offers.
  • Submits reporting per city requirements and shares updates with key stakeholders.  

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Experience:

  • 1 Year preferred experience with below market rents and/or affordable housing programs. 
  • 1 Year preferred experience in property management
  • Experience with Salesforce, Realpage/Onesite and G Suite preferred

 

Certifications:        

  • Preferred: Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS)

 

Education:  

  • Preferred: High school or equivalent

 

Other:

  • General understanding of the Affordable Housing Regulatory Agreements and their requirements.
  • Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position)

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $29.90 - $38.85

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
