Position Summary:

The Financial Planning & Analysis team (“FP&A”) is responsible for all financial planning and reporting activities of the Irvine Company Apartments division.

Job Duties:

● Produce quarterly and monthly financial reports and prepare presentation materials for the senior management team.
● Assist in completion of the division’s quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting process, variance analysis, and special projects.
● Be able to interpret the most current accounting and operations principles to analyze and build financial models/reporting packages.
● Support underwriting process, including market analysis, pro-forma modeling, demographic research, and development of presentation materials to division leadership.
● Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
● Support the continued development and maintenance of reporting, forecasting, and modeling tools.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

● BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
● 1-3 years in a financial analyst role, real estate background a plus but not required
● Superior Microsoft Excel, analytical, and data modeling skills. Experience in handling
large data sets a plus.
● Willing to embrace rapid change and ambiguity, comfortable in a collaborative culture
● Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
● Self-motivated and highly driven; able to think creatively
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate
finance concepts preferred
