Position Summary:

 

The Irvine Company Resorts team is seeking a Manager, Digital Marketing who can support the eCommerce team in the execution and oversight of digital marketing initiatives and creative insights. This position is responsible for supporting every aspect of digital marketing for the Irvine Company Resorts properties in order to drive revenues through digital channels, and increase operating efficiencies. 

 

We are seeking an individual that is experienced in digital marketing with a background in hospitality.  The marketing team strategizes, develops, and executes all campaigns in house, so this role would be vital to help streamline our process.  Key areas of expertise required would include:  digital marketing, SEO, general website usability (i.e. CMS capabilities), HTML is a plus, online paid advertising (Google AdWords, Pay-per-Click, Display), referral sites (i.e. Yelp, Tripadvisor), social media, and understand creative concepts.

 

This role reports directly to the Corporate Director of eCommerce and is based in our Newport Beach corporate office.

Job Duties:

 

Website Analysis and Optimization

  • Reviews and analyzes websites for areas that need to be enhanced or revised
  • Ensures accuracy and clarity of every hotel’s website
  • Optimizes on-site content for maximum visibility and ranking in the search engines (Brightedge experience a plus)
  • Performs quality assurance analysis of all websites

Digital Campaign Tracking

  • Create tracking codes for display campaigns, and Google analytics tracking (GTM experience a plus)
  • Measure and reconcile results from display campaigns
  • Track campaign performance and understand anomalies
  • Gather data from on property analyst and report back on performance
  • Ability to think critically and leverage data to determine trends
  • Work on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with direction from the Director of eCommerce.

Keyword Analysis, Research & SEO

  • Perform information gathering services including technical website analysis, competitive/keyword research and link analysis.
  • Conducts in-depth keyword research, focusing on driving organic search results or assisting with running a pay per click (PPC) campaign.
  • Based on brand guidelines and content direction, optimize the copy on our sites and landing pages of each campaign.
  • Performs SEO strategies on copy (Optimizing existing copy or writing edited copy with direction).
  • Responsible for link building strategies.
  • Ability to read, edit, and analyze the HTML coding on existing sites/pages. 

Digital Technology Roll-outs

  • Per direction from senior leadership, partner with the team to help roll out new technologies and tools pertaining to digital marketing/enhancements. 

Creative Marketing

  • Be efficient and creative with art direction.
  • Editing of image files for digital campaigns or the website.
  • Website updates to make creative changes (CMS capabilities a plus). 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or advertising preferred (MBA a plus).
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in hospitality digital marketing is desired, with luxury resort marketing highly preferred.
  • Previous hotel revenue management and marketing experience is a plus.
  • Great understanding of online marketing strategies and tools.
  • Content management and web analytics experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics.  
  • Firm grasp of website management required.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and access database tools.
  • Ability to fluently read and write English, accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions and use all Marketing software functions.
