Position Summary:

The Director, Hotel Operations, will report to the Senior Vice President, Operations & Administration, Resorts Properties, and will partner with other corporate team members inside and outside the division, as well the resorts leaders and their teams, to help design, execute, and support a diverse set of operational and financial initiatives throughout the Resorts organization. 

The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader from a full-service hotel environment with a high degree of relevant operational experience, especially in the areas rooms & related, front- and back office, labor management, and technology. Any experience in F&B and capital projects would be a strong plus.

This individual will be very comfortable working in a matrix environment and is able to quickly build strong partnerships throughout the entire organization. In addition, the ideal candidate has strong project management skills, and is highly organized and detailed.

Job Duties:
  • Coordinate with Senior Vice President to develop strategic/ tactical plan for each assigned project.
  • Ensure assigned projects are executed on time, as per approved scope, and within budget. This includes assigned capital projects.
  • Support technology related projects and serve as the point of contact between the resorts’ IT managers and the corporate IT team.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to provide regular reporting and updates on assigned work streams.
  • Apply good business judgment, calculated risk and analytics to decision making / prioritization of projects.
  • Assess, obtain and leverage both internal and external resources to eliminate hurdles / accelerate key results.
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business or equivalent experience required
  • 10-15 years of hospitality management experience in a full-service hotel required
  • 3-5 years of people leadership experience required
  • 3-5 years of Rooms management experience required
  • High level of comfort with hospitality technology (hardware and software) including PMS and POS
  • Critical thinking and financial aptitude
  • Strong project management skills
  • Team orientation
  • Detailed, organized
